Joanna, the visionary behind Flora and Associates, wears many hats with grace and determination. As the group owner and clinical director, she has poured her heart and soul into building a nurturing environment that supports families when they need it most. Recognizing a gap in the community’s resources, Joanna has worked tirelessly to create a haven where families can find the support, guidance, and resources they deserve. Joanna’s journey into the world of therapy began with a passion for helping individuals with developmental and intellectual challenges using the transformative power of art therapy. Over the past 16 years, she has honed her skills, continually seeking growth and enhancement. Joanna is Licensed as an Art Therapist in both NY & NJ. She holds the national credentials of a Board Certified Art Therapist, an Art Therapy Credentialed Supervisor, as well as a Certification in Perinatal Mental Health. Joanna is also on the path to becoming a certified psychoanalyst and is the Public Relations Chair of the New Jersey Art Therapy Association Board. Joanna’s commitment to her craft knows no bounds. With a heart dedicated to healing, Joanna collaborates with individuals of all ages, creating personalized treatment plans that resonate with each unique client. Her approach centers on empowering clients to identify and express their emotions while fostering lasting change through tailored interventions. Certified in perinatal mental health, Joanna is deeply committed to supporting moms on their journey to self-discovery and empowerment. She understands that when moms thrive, the whole family flourishes. Whether it is navigating the highs and lows of pregnancy or the challenges of early motherhood, Joanna is there to provide unwavering support and guidance. Joanna has intentionally designed her group practice to ensure clients have access to a diverse team of experts. She has witnessed firsthand the challenges families face in accessing the resources they need and is dedicated to bridging that gap through collaboration and compassionate care. When she is not guiding clients toward wellness, Joanna disconnects and recharges by traveling with her family. Her passion lies on the beach and touring MLB stadiums, despite her allegiance as an avid Braves fan. Quality time with her family, including her beloved office therapy dogs, Jax & Kole, is where she finds solace and rejuvenation. Most recently, Joanna has expanded her impact by expanding the support she can provide outside of the session room. Joanna opened our sister company, The Puzzled Parents, aimed at providing potty training and parent coaching to families struggling with developmental milestones and the day to day challenges of family life
