Introduction

We all need a little help from time to time. If that’s you right now, let me help you grow through the challenges that you are going through during this stage of your life. I have experience working with children, adolescents, military and veterans, intimate partner violence, and the disability community. Having known and worked closely with these communities, I am passionate to provide mental health care that is inclusive towards each individual’s specialized needs. I strongly believe that therapy is a collaborative process. My wish is to work alongside you and allow your values, experiences, culture, and goals to guide the counseling process to best meet your needs. You are welcomed here in your journey of growth and healing! My name is Joanna Lucky and I am a resident in counseling. I graduated with a M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Counseling with a specialization in Military and Veterans Counseling from William & Mary in 2025. I also graduated from Christopher Newport university in 2023 with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Studio Art. I am always willing to incorporate creative expressions in the therapeutic process!
