Hello! I'm Jodie. Although I have specialized in working with children and adolescents, I also work with adults who have experienced trauma or struggle with other stressors. Silver Lining uses a trauma-informed approach in our work. Past roles include senior leadership positions for nonprofits in the state of Massachusetts. This included working closely with DCF, DMH and DJJ in order to support children and families. Jodie can be contacted by any agency who would like to consult on levels of care discussions, level of risk for any students with behavioral issues, and if they are in need of training on topics to include the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) and Trauma and how it impacts a child's education. This trauma informed lens can assist school districts in identifying the most at risk, impacting the decisions they make to use their limited resources. One single approach is not right for every individual, so I take an integrative approach to therapy. I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT(TFCBT), Forensic Social Work, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Jodie is also currently completing a PhD Program in Forensic Psychology to support a Masters in Criminal Justice, Social Work (MSW) and Masters in Philosophy(MPhil), Forensic Psychology. All PhD coursework has been completed. Jodie is a lifelong learner and is constantly learning more about ways to help individuals and communities heal from trauma.
