Welcome to Counseling Right Now, LLC I help QTBIPOC artists and creatives pursue self-actualization through a process of exploration, discovery, action, and change. Drawing on my 18 years of experience in mental health counseling, I aid clients in their healing, cultivating sustained growth, and improving their quality of life. As a gay therapist and someone of both Asian and White ancestry born and raised in Hawaii, I bring a multicultural perspective to my work through an integrative approach rooted in collaboration and trauma-informed care. I am passionate about empowering you to become your best, most authentic self and will support you through your personal evolution. I am a past president of the New York Mental Health Counselors Association, Hudson Valley Chapter, and have served as a clinician, adjunct instructor, and program director across five higher education institutions. Further, I have directed short- and long-term inpatient treatment programs for individuals recovering from substance use disorders, served as lead clinician in settings treating juvenile sex offenders, adolescents with severe conduct disorder, and trauma survivors, and led outpatient support services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Common concerns addressed in my practice include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, PTSD, relationship problems, and adjustment to life transitions.
