Introduction

With over 30 years of experience as a board-certified clinical psychologist, I am dedicated to helping you achieve your optimal well-being. I provide a welcoming space where you can express your vulnerabilities and cultivate the skills to thrive. I work with adult clients of all ages and with a wide range of problems: depression, anxiety, grief, and loss; issues regarding weight, sleep, pain, and adjustment to illness; relationship, work, aging, and other life-transition issues. For most of my career, I worked at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System, providing psychological care for Veterans. I was part of multiple-disciplinary patient care teams, including integrated primary care mental health and other medical teams. I supervised other psychologists and managed several mental health teams. The latter part of my career at the Veterans Health Administration included leadership in health care ethics, at local, regional, and national levels. My last four years with the VA I served as the Chief of IntegratedEthics with the National Center for Ethics in Health Care. I retired from the VA in 2021. I now have a small private psychology practice, providing individual and couples psychotherapy. All sessions are provided virtually through a secure online videoconferencing portal. I am licensed in the state of Delaware. If you are in another state, I still may be able to provide you care via telehealth. I have Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT #18825) by the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards. This means that if you reside in a state that has joined PSYPACT, you may contact me to request services.
