Introduction

Hi, I’m John Mews, CEO & founder of Mewsic Moves. As a licensed marriage and family therapist and specialist in neurologic music therapy, I’ve dedicated my life to helping individuals and families communicate, connect, and heal through the power of music. Growing up, music helped me communicate and process emotions as well as build resilience. This inspired me to study music therapy and founded Mewsic Moves in 2004. In 2011, after earning my master's in marriage and family therapy, I expanded Mewsic Moves to offer counseling services for neurodivergent families and those with neurologic and mental health conditions. I'm also grateful for my skilled team of therapists and interns, and we specialize in evidence-based neurologic music therapy and counseling for children, teens, and adults, particularly those with neurodiverse needs, neurologic conditions, and mental health challenges. At Mewsic Moves every session is tailored to your unique goals, whether that’s improving social skills, emotional regulation, or simply finding joy and connection. I believe that everyone deserves a safe, creative space to grow, and we'd love to help you or your loved one experience the transformative impact of music therapy. We offer a FREE 15 minute consultation and look forward to hearing from you, moreover, look forward to supporting you and your loved ones.
