Introduction

Most people don't arrive in therapy because they've fallen apart. They arrive because the strategies that built their lives have quietly turned into the source of their suffering. Performing instead of feeling. Overriding discomfort instead of listening to it. Staying in control because letting go feels unthinkable. My work starts with what's happening in your body, not only in your thoughts. Anxiety, depression, guilt, anger, shame and exhaustion all carry physiological roots. Long before they reach words, these feelings settle into the body. When we slow down enough to register what you actually feel, rather than what you've told yourself you should feel, real change becomes possible. I'm a former attorney who spent more than 20 years inside career pressure, institutional complexity, and expectations no one says out loud. We learn early that needing help is a kind of weakness. It isn't. More often, it's the most honest and necessary thing we can do. I'm a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Adams State University, completing my practicum at Kenosis Counseling under the clinical supervision of Melissa Raddatz, LMFT, LAC.
