Healing from trauma often means carrying experiences that were never fully seen or supported. If you grew up needing to adapt, stay vigilant, or hold things together on your own, therapy can be a place where you finally don’t have to do that anymore. I offer a genuine counseling experience for adults working through childhood trauma who are seeking a therapeutic relationship that feels both safe and appropriately challenging. Together, we’ll move at a pace that respects your nervous system while building the trust and consistency needed for lasting change. My approach integrates psychodynamic work—helping us understand how past experiences continue to shape your inner world—with Gestalt techniques that keep our focus grounded in the here and now. This allows insight to emerge while also creating real-time experiences of support, choice, and agency within the therapeutic relationship. While insight is an important part of healing, meaningful change also comes from practicing new ways of responding to stress. Our work will include developing skills in distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and self-compassion so growth is not only understood, but felt and carried into your everyday life.
