Welcome! I specialize in counseling children, teenagers, and young adults. I also collaborate with parents, providing guidance and parenting skills training. The first 8 years of my career were spent counseling in a residential facility for children in state custody, before transitioning to private practice in 2020. I use a variety of techniques to connect with my clients and practice from a foundation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while using Dialectical Behavior Therapy-informed skills. My approach is supportive yet direct, and I incorporate humor, authenticity, and creativity into my sessions. I believe that the counselor and client are a team throughout the therapeutic process. Together, we set goals based on areas you'd like to change in your life. I encourage my clients to work towards goals outside of the counseling session to create action and movement toward success in their daily lives. I believe the counselor-client relationship is the most important piece of counseling. I strive for authentic connection and want you to see my playful, humorous, and welcoming personality as we work together! I am licensed in Tennessee and Georgia, and collaborate with Solia Farm to offer non-traditional therapy opportunities with Equine Assisted Therapy.
