I’m Jordan, a counseling intern with a background in behavioral health, school-based support services, and mental health counseling. Before entering the counseling field, I spent several years working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), supporting children and families through emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. That experience shaped the way I approach therapy today: with patience, collaboration, compassion, and a strong belief that people deserve support that honors both their struggles and their strengths. My approach to counseling is integrative and person-centered. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), behavioral interventions, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. I work to create a space where clients feel safe being honest about difficult emotions, life transitions, identity concerns, relationship struggles, anxiety, burnout, self-esteem, religious trauma, and emotional overwhelm. I have experience working with adolescents and young adults, as well as older adults, particularly those navigating emotional regulation difficulties, anxiety, neurodivergence, behavioral concerns, family stress, and identity development. My background in both counseling and behavioral support allows me to blend practical coping tools with deeper emotional processing in a way that feels approachable and individualized. I believe therapy should feel collaborative rather than clinical or judgmental. Whether someone is seeking support during a difficult season, processing long-standing pain, or simply trying to better understand themselves, my goal is to help clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to move toward meaningful change at their own pace.
