Let’s be honest: People will do almost anything if it means they don’t have to go to therapy. Why? Because nobody wants to admit they’re struggling, and they definitely don’t want to face the emotional and mental effort that real change can require. Therapy asks us to look at things we may have spent years avoiding, challenge patterns that have become comfortable, and sometimes admit that what we’ve been doing just isn’t working anymore. So, if you’re reading this because you’re considering therapy, props to you for taking that leap of faith. I know it isn’t always an easy decision. One belief that guides my work is that while pain is an unavoidable part of life, suffering does not have to define it. We may not always get to choose what happens to us, but we can learn to choose what we do next. My goal as a therapist is to help you better understand yourself, find meaning in your experiences, cultivate a stronger sense of purpose, and discover practical solutions to the problems keeping you stuck. I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation, self-esteem, identity, stress, and the general feeling of being stuck or unsure of what comes next.
