As a psychologist with a background in philosophy and neuroscience, I have a strong interest in gaining a deep understanding of human behavior, the human mind, and the human experience. Moreover, I enjoy connecting with people and helping them enhance their mental health and wellbeing. In my private practice, I provide a variety of psychological services, including consultation, assessment, individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, prevention and psychological wellbeing services, and clinical supervision. Over the years that I have been practicing, I have helped many people improve their mental health and wellbeing. I work with a wide range of psychological issues and disorders, and I specialize in treating unresolved grief and psychological trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), substance use disorders, and behavioral addictions. I tend to integrate a number of evidence-based treatments, including classical cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches, while also drawing on psychoanalytic principles and processes. Treatments are delivered flexibly and are individualized based on each client's unique needs, goals, and preferences. Above all, I strive to develop a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients, characterized by warmth, compassion, trust, and collaboration on treatment goals. I am committed to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism, and I am guided by the principles of evidence-based practice in psychology (EBPP), integrating the best available research with clinical expertise in the context of patient characteristics, culture, and preferences. I work with older adolescents and adults and have substantial experience working with military veterans and active-duty service members. I offer services in person at my office in Mequon, Wisconsin, and remotely via video or telephone to locations in Wisconsin, New York, and any of the 43 PSYPACT participating states (https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap).
