Before becoming a therapist, I spent 18 years in Division I athletics — five as a competitive athlete and 13 as a coach, including seven years at the University of Minnesota and nine years at Columbia University. I understand what it means to operate in high-expectation environments; the pressure, the discipline, the identity — and what happens when our pursuits bring us to our limits. My approach is practical and reflective. In sessions, I am active and direct. I listen for the beliefs and narratives shaping your perspective. We clarify what you are committed to, and we examine where fear, habit, or self-limiting assumptions may be muting you and your life. Therapy then becomes forward-facing. We define direction and cultivate the emotional steadiness, openness, and disciplined action required to live in alignment with it.
