Introduction

My name is Joseph Segal and I have a Master of Arts in couple and family therapy and am currently working on a doctorate in psychology from Alliant International University. I work with individuals, couples and families on various mental health and relational issues.I specialize in working with couples who have been in distress and who have been caught in a negative pattern of interaction. I specialize in high conflict relational counseling and have significant experience with military and veteran couples in addition to men's issues regarding sex, addiction, and anger. I have extensive training in emotionally focused couples therapy. Emotionally focused therapy is a research backed model that has shown that 90% of couples report significant improvement in their relationships. I view relationships as fundamental to our health, happiness and survival. As a former marine and current therapist, I have the necessary skill set to lead and follow a clients experience in an empathic and humanistic manner. It is my honor to continue to serve in a capacity that helps clients achieve their desired change.
