I’m Dr. Josephine Vuchansu, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management, which means I assess and diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe medication when it’s appropriate, and adjust your treatment over time until it truly works for you. I work with clients across the lifespan, with a special focus on helping young adults with depression and anxiety build steadier, more fulfilling lives. I also treat ADHD, bipolar disorder, panic, PTSD, OCD, sleep concerns, and personality disorders. My care starts with listening. I want to understand your whole story, not just your symptoms, and then we’ll build a practical, evidence-based plan together. Alongside medication, I use CBT-based strategies, mindfulness, and clear education so you understand your diagnosis and options. I’m calm and supportive, and I’m also direct: you’ll always know what I’m seeing and why I’m recommending what I am. I’ve been a nurse for more than 15 years, including years as a psychiatric nurse, and I’ve practiced as a psychiatric nurse practitioner since 2023. I earned my DNP in Psychiatric-Mental Health from the University of Massachusetts Global. All appointments are online, so you can meet with me from the comfort of home. If you’re ready for psychiatric care that’s thoughtful, clear, and focused on helping you thrive, I’d be glad to meet you.
