I am a Black, queer woman and therapist. I find therapy to be space for exploration of and connection to oneself, each other, and others outside the therapy room. All of my work is grounded in trauma-informed care, where I truly believe that I can never rush a client’s process, but where I can strive to be right beside along the way. I consider my approach to be radical, non-judgmental, relational, collaborative, insight-oriented, and uncomfortable in all the right places. I primarily work with those whose identities live at the margins, particularly building therapeutic relationships with fellow BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folks. As an autistic person, I also find working with neurodivergent clients incredibly fun, rewarding, and necessary. I am consistently honored to be able to accompany my clients through their exploration of matters of identity and their relationships to themselves, to others, and to both micro and macro systems. I strive to create a warm and earnest environment where I am in active dialogue with clients about whatever has been ailing them, comes up for them in a given moment, and connects to overarching themes and threads. I believe my clients can be assured that I will remain open towards and gently curious about their experiences as I bear witness to their experiences. While I personally know how hard therapy is, I don’t believe it can sustainably exist without laughter and play frequently entering the space.
