Introduction

Serving the Midlands of South Carolina, I use evidenced based interventions to bring children and their families towards stability. I specialize in offering parenting strategies to strengthen the attachment between parent and child to foster a change in behavior. I love working with children of all ages, helping them feel understood, and advocating for them in any way that I can. Whether your child struggles with behavioral difficulties, tantrums, anxiety, school difficulty, deficits in socialization, Autism Spectrum Disorder, trauma, or grief, I have years of experience utilizing specific interventions that cater to each problem area. It is so inspiring to watch the kids that I treat make progress and grow. Relevé Counseling and Consulting, LLC is led by a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) with specialized training in child-centered and directive play therapy approaches. Every session is designed to meet your child or family exactly where they are. The name "Relevé" — a ballet term meaning to rise on tiptoe — reflects our belief that with the right support, every child and family can rise to their fullest potential. Included in my areas of specialty is advocation for my clients and the needs they may have with accommodations in the school setting. I also specialize in treating kids with Selective Mutism and other major anxiety disorders. I especially enjoy bringing families back to stability, and helping children and their parents understand one another better. I use multiple interventions to help clients and their families. Some of these include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child Centered Play Therapy, Behavioral Family Therapy, Emotionally Focused Family Therapy, and Trauma Focused CBT. I find that combining Child Centered Play Therapy with Behavioral Family Therapy provides families with the best outcome. ****I am currently in the process of getting in network with a few of the major insurance providers. Until that process is complete, a super bill can be provided.****
