My lived life experience includes being a Firefighter/Paramedic for 16 years in a very busy, very diverse, metropolitan department. I am very familiar with first responders and their struggles and would like to offer the opportunity to de-stigmatize mental health for firefighters, police officers and soldiers. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). CBT works on the premise that all emotions comes from our mind and the way in which we think about the specific situation. This creates our behavior. EMDR works specifically by using bilateral stimulation while processing traumatic memories. Faith and humor are also great tools to improve our mindset and outlook. So, how is your faith?
