You may appear capable on the outside while internally feeling anxious, burnt out, emotionally overwhelmed, emotionally reactive, disconnected, or exhausted by self-criticism. Maybe you’re constantly overthinking, caught in perfectionism, carrying the pressure of being “the strong one,” struggling to slow down, or feeling stuck in patterns you can’t fully explain. Therapy can be a space to better understand yourself, feel more emotionally steady, and begin healing at a deeper level. Hi, I’m Julianne, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), and I’m passionate about helping people heal in a way that feels thoughtful, steady, and lasting. I believe healing happens in safe, attuned relationships — and that the relationship you have with yourself shapes how you move through the world. My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and rooted in cognitive, psychodynamic, and neuroscience-informed principles. I believe many of the patterns we struggle with today began as adaptations — ways our minds and bodies learned to survive difficult experiences, stress, trauma, or relational wounds. Together, we work to understand these patterns with compassion while building greater emotional regulation, flexibility, and self-awareness. I frequently incorporate psychoeducation on brain science to help clients better understand the biological foundations of trauma, anxiety, and stress. When you understand what your nervous system is doing, self-blame often begins to soften. I also utilize Brainspotting, a brain-body trauma therapy similar to EMDR, to support healing beyond insight alone. I primarily work with women navigating anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, burnout, people-pleasing, relational stress, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. You do not have to be in crisis to seek therapy. Sometimes you simply want to feel steady again. My work is guided by the hope of the gospel and a belief that we are created by God as layered beings — mind, body, and soul. I love helping clients unburden themselves, heal from what is keeping them stuck, and experience the abundant life Jesus Christ offers. For clients who desire it, I thoughtfully integrate faith into our work. For those who prefer a clinically focused space, that is always respected. I earned my undergraduate degree in Biology & Neuroscience from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I have years of experience supporting adolescents and adults through trauma, anxiety, grief, relational challenges, stress, and life transitions. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two dogs, serving in my local church, cooking, and taking long walks outdoors. I value simplicity, meaningful connection, and creating spaces that feel calm and restorative.
