Do you suffer from anxiety, depression, or are you managing symptoms of PTSD and trauma, either recent or in the past? Are you experiencing a life transition? Are you troubled by issues related to your family of origin, your own parenting, relationships, adoption? Perhaps you would like more insight into why you do what you do, think what you think, and how to change. I work in these areas, using a variety of approaches tailored to you as an individual. My work is highly collaborative and non- judgmental. We will create a safe place together using empathic talk therapy, thinking about thinking and how it ties to unhelpful behavior, insights from neuroscience, and self compassion. As well as the awareness that we all live within societal and family structures that can deeply influence and affect us. I have been practicing for over 6 years, in a variety of settings including community mental health, and outpatient private practice. I come to this work late, as a third career, following work in international human rights, raising a child, Zen practice, and with the awareness that we humans need support, care, and a sense of meaning and purpose in our lives.
