Introduction

I have supported the wellbeing of individuals and groups for over two decades. I assist my clients in managing changes in their career, health, and relationships. I have learned over time that consistent practices of self-compassion, connection with nature and community, mindfulness, and personal creativity help provide insight, awareness of resources, rooted growth, healing, and personal expression. Though what brings you to counseling or coaching may be problems or challenges, I am most interested in helping you navigate life toward joy and wholeness. I see you as the expert on yourself, and my role is that of support person, accompanying you as you face the challenges and choices that shape the meaning of your life. I'm available to assist when times are difficult, yet I can also help deepen experiences of joy! Together we can design ways to celebrate and honor important people in your life, your own or their life transitions, as well as personal or group accomplishment. Some individuals and groups participate in retreats, classes and workshops that I offer, and others have an idea for a retreat or similar event and seek my help in creating the experience for the individual or a group. Some appreciate utilizing self-directed materials I provide, following up with me personally, if desired. An avid artist, parent, friend and life-long learner, I enjoy travelling, especially to learn from and alongside founders and other innovators in the field of expressive arts therapy and consultation. I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (License # A15305). I also hold a law degree and am a "soccer mom" of teenagers, which means I understand multidimensional aspects of challenges, and have a "together we can find a way" kind of attitude to goal seeking and solution finding. Since 2020, I've served as the regional coordinator for the Southeastern United States for the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA). I am currently seeing both coaching and counseling clients in person in Burnsville and Asheville, as well as via telehealth. Contact me today for a free phone consultation.
