Introduction

With over 40 years of providing individual, couples, family and group therapy, my patients have given me a vast variety of experiences and wisdom. Listening with openness, curiosity and empathy to comprehend how people's pain, heartaches, losses and trauma impacts my therapy. Their descriptions of coping mechanisms, support systems and how they continue forward even when feeling trapped or stuck while honoring the complexities of their lives. Therapy is designed to enable individuals or family systems to expand or return to positive coping options and experiences. Folks frequently feel lost on what to do or how to heal old or reoccurring or present wounds. They desire meaningful connections, to be heard, need direction in making positive change not just stabilization. l
