I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for helping people find meaning and purpose in life. My approach balances attention to your current concerns with thoughtful exploration of past experiences, helping you find relief in the present while also addressing the deeper roots of your struggles. I work with adults and adolescents on issues including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, substance use, life transitions, and trauma. I approach trauma not only as something that happened in the past, but as something that continues to shape the present through recurring thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations, and relationship patterns. In therapy, we move at your pace, paying attention to how these experiences show up in your life rather than forcing a particular narrative. I also invite attention to dreams, fantasies, and whatever comes to mind in the moment. These can offer important clues about how your mind is working to make sense of your experiences. Over time, putting words to these experiences can begin to shift how you relate to them. As new meanings emerge, many people feel less defined by what happened to them and more capable of responding to life with greater flexibility and agency. I see therapy as a space of open possibility. While it’s important to make room for difficult emotions and painful experiences, it can also be a place for creativity, play, and moments of laughter. I will always approach our work together with openness and respect. I am a native Texan who has spent several years living and traveling abroad. I also hold a master’s degree in International Studies. Cultural humility is central to my work, and I value working with people from diverse backgrounds. In my free time, I enjoy making art, cooking, reading, watching movies, playing video games, and going hiking and camping with my family. Starting therapy is a big step. It’s a commitment to understanding yourself more deeply, and that process can unfold in ways that are both challenging and rewarding. I take that work seriously and would be honored to join you on the path of growth and self-discovery.
