Introduction

My name is Kacie Skarpetowski, LPC-Associate. I am supervised by Maribel Arias, LPC-S, NCC. I have a love for running and wellness, which led me to create The Running Path Counseling. I use evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Counseling, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. I have a strong belief that wellness should be accessible to everyone. I offer low cost services and a sliding scale for those who need it. I have a background in education, however working with individuals experiencing homelessness during my mental health counseling internship taught me about the great need for access to mental healthcare in our communities. There I supported individuals navigating concerns such as mental health diagnoses, recent incarceration, parenting stress, substance abuse, and religious trauma. I offer a non-judgmental and inclusive space to run. I understand that each person takes their own path to wellness and that each person has had their own unique experiences. These experiences lead us to looking at the world through many different lenses. My clinical work focuses on serving runners and athletes of all types, parenting stress, career and financial stress, and religious trauma.
