A lot of people who come to therapy have been wondering the same thing for a while: why does this feel so much harder for me than it seems to for everyone else? Maybe you've tried to figure it out on your own, or you've done therapy before and it helped a little but never quite got to the thing underneath. Maybe you can't even name what the thing is. You just know something isn't working. We'll work on the day-to-day stuff, the anxiety, the overwhelm, whatever's making right now hard, while also digging into where it's actually coming from. Managing symptoms and understanding their roots aren't two different goals. They're the same work, and I'm here to help you through it. I'm direct, I swear sometimes, and I'll bring genuine curiosity and some humor into the room. Therapy with me tends to go longer and deeper than the quick-fix model, because I believe it's more effective in producing long-lasting change. I tailor every session to you, drawing from evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches. I work primarily from an ACT framework but pull from CBT, DBT, and other modalities depending on what fits you best. I'm based in the Pacific Northwest, where I spend my time between the mountains, the ocean, and keeping two kids and too many houseplants alive. My cat Addy has a habit of joining sessions, and your pet is always welcome too. Show up as you are. We'll figure out the rest.
