I'm Kanishka, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC, NCC) based in Georgia, providing telehealth therapy through Woven Grove Counseling. I work with teenagers (14–18) and young adults (19–35) navigating anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem, autism, life transitions, college stress, "adulting," and relationship or boundary challenges. I'm committed to culturally responsive care, with a particular focus on individuals from the BIPOC community, including first- and second-generation clients. As a first-generation person myself, I understand the layered experience of holding multiple identities and navigating spaces that weren't always designed with you in mind. My work is grounded in narrative and psychodynamic therapy, exploring how past experiences and relationship patterns shape who you are today. Together, we separate you from the problem, uncover your strengths and resilience, and help you reclaim authorship of your own story with clarity and compassion. I also draw on CBT and solution-focused strategies when they fit, so our work stays practical and responsive to what you actually need. Therapy with me is collaborative, affirming, and judgment-free. I meet you where you are! The first session is about getting to know you -- your story, what's bringing you in, and what you're hoping for. There's no pressure to have it all figured out. I'll ask some questions, we'll talk through what's feeling hard, and we'll start to get a sense of what working together might look like. I aim to create a space where you feel genuinely safe and not like you're being assessed or evaluated. Outside of sessions, I'm someone who loves coffee, comfort TV, unapologetically cheesy jokes, and my Goldendoodle, because I think it matters that you know there's a real person on the other side of the screen.
