I was born and raised in Osaka, Japan, and I use she/her pronouns. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) in North Carolina. I earned my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2008. I moved to North Carolina from California with my family in 2011. Prior to obtain my license as a LMFTA in NC, I worked as a coach and advocate from 2013 to 2026 working with diverse cultural background individuals and families for their growth to their maximum potential at different stages of their lives. I’ve always felt drawn to supporting others, and that continues to shape the way I show up in my work. I try to create a space where people can slow down, feel heard, and talk openly without worrying about being judged. Building a genuine, trusting connection with my clients is really important to me.
