Hi, I’m Kara. I know betrayal. I know addiction. I know what it’s like to be blindsided—to find yourself standing in the wreckage, holding everything together. Understanding PTSD, betrayal trauma, and EMDR didn’t just give me language—it gave me a framework for action. I stopped trying to hold everything together and started rebuilding who I wanted to be. That’s what empowerment means to me. Not control. Not perfection. But the ability to make grounded, decisive choices—even in the middle of pain. I’m not who I was before. I’m someone I chose to become. Now, I help others do the same—not by telling them who to be, but by helping them reconnect, remake, and empower themselves. We’re not here to circle the same problems. We’re here to understand what’s actually driving them—and shift it. I’ll help you identify the patterns, thoughts, and behaviors that keep you stuck, and challenge the ones that aren’t serving you. This work goes deeper than insight. It’s about changing how you respond in real time—especially when things feel uncomfortable or uncertain. I use EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Betrayal Trauma Recovery to address both what’s happening beneath the surface and how it shows up in your in your day-to-day life. You can expect me to be engaged, straightforward, and intentional. I’ll meet you where you are—but I won’t let you stay stuck there.
