I’m Kara, a therapist and social worker who sees clients of all ages. I aim to provide compassionate, empowering and nonjudgmental care to expand distress tolerance, increase understanding and support daily functioning. I have supported clients experiencing anxiety, chronic illness, depression, family stressors, financial stress, gender identity, relationship stressors, and trauma. I am a passionate advocate for structural change and have a history in reproductive health advocacy and education within Montana. I recognize people’s expertise on their own lives and use techniques from attachment-based therapy, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and somatic experiencing. If I seem like a good fit for you or someone you love, please reach out.
