I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, trauma, adjutment to life changes, personality concerns, and multicultural issues. My approach is grounded in culturally sensitive therapeutic strategies, which I’ve honed over more than two decades of clinical work with culturally diverse adults, young adults, and new parents. My approach to counseling emphasizes evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and draws on elements of Attachment-Based Therapy, Mindful Awareness in Body-oriented Therapy (MABT) and Family Systems Therapy, in a compassionate and collaborative manner. I firmly believe that each individual possesses the inherent resources necessary to navigate life’s challenges. As a therapist, my role is to facilitate my clients’ access to their inner strengths and resources, while also assisting them in developing effective coping skills for healing and personal growth.
