I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and affirming environment for individuals seeking trauma therapy and healing. As a licensed psychotherapist with over twenty years of clinical experience, I specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have extensive training in trauma-informed care. My Approach I bring warmth, compassion, and dynamic engagement to each therapeutic relationship. I believe in meeting clients where they are and supporting them through their unique healing journey with evidence-based practices tailored to their individual needs. Services Offered Individual EMDR Therapy I am certified in EMDR and have been integrating EMDR 2.0 protocols into my practice for several years with meaningful results. I work with individuals to process trauma and reduce symptoms related to distressing life experiences. EMDR Groups Group EMDR therapy provides a structured, supportive setting where participants can process trauma and reduce anxiety, tension, and distress. Using evidence-based protocols, participants work largely in silence, meaning sharing personal details is not required. Many participants experience increased calm and clarity around the experiences they address. EMDR Intensives For clients who may benefit from extended sessions, I offer EMDR Intensives ranging from 90 minutes to several hours. These longer sessions allow for deeper processing and can help clients reach a place of greater calm and neutrality in a condensed timeframe. Please note that insurance does not typically cover EMDR Intensives. Areas of Specialization I have particular expertise in bereavement support and helping clients develop coping skills for navigating grief and loss. The combination of EMDR and Prolonged Grief Treatment can be especially beneficial for those who have experienced multiple or traumatic losses. Commitment to Inclusive Care I am dedicated to providing affirming, culturally responsive therapy to all clients, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, women, and BIPOC individuals. My practice strives to be a safe and welcoming space where everyone feels seen, respected, and supported. Training & Background I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Smith College School for Social Work in 1999. My professional experience includes work in medical settings such as oncology, end-of-life care, and bereavement services. I have completed the Smith College Post-Graduate Certificate in End-of-Life Care as well as Prolonged Grief Training at Columbia University School of Social Work. Current Availability I am currently accepting clients for EMDR Groups and Emotion 101 Psycho-Education Groups for 2026. For individual therapy, I maintain a waitlist and encourage you to reach out to discuss your needs and explore whether we might be a good fit. I welcome your questions and look forward to potentially supporting you on your healing journey.
