Karen A. Gore LICSW (Wren) is Certified in EMDR Therapy. Karen (Wren) Gore LICSW (she/her/hers) is a seasoned psychotherapist with over twenty years of clinical experience. After receiving her social work degree (1999) from from Smith School for Social Work she worked in Medical settings, oncology, end-of-life care, in addition to private practice. She completed the Smith Post Graduate Certificate in End-of-Life Care and the Prolonged Grief Training at Columbia University School of Social Work. She is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) with many years experience using EMDR with individuals and now offering Group EMDR. Karen’s combination of EMDR and Prolonged Grief Treatment can be profoundly beneficial for clients who have suffered numerous losses and/or traumatic losses. She is committed to providing therapy to those who identify as LGBTQ+. She brings expertise in bereavement support and coping skills to those suffering from grief and loss. She finds assisting those in their healing a powerful experience. She brings warmth and compassion as well as dynamic engagement into the therapy session.
