Introduction

Do you feel anxious, shut down, or on edge thinking about pregnancy or motherhood? Maybe you're pregnant and tense, or avoiding it because your body reacts with fear or numbness. Women I work with have had difficult births, fear repeating patterns, or feel unsafe imagining motherhood. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and former Certified Nurse-Midwife with clinical perinatal experience—I understand the medical and emotional sides of what you're carrying. Together, we calm your nervous system, process what your body has been through, and build grounded emotional steadiness so you can move forward with clarity and confidence. I specialize in perinatal anxiety, birth trauma, and fear of pregnancy or motherhood. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and former Certified Nurse-Midwife with extensive perinatal experience, I use an integrative, strengths-based approach that includes somatic and body-based work, polyvagal-informed care, CBT, ACT, IFS-informed work, behavioral activation, and EMDR. When desired, I also offer Christian-informed support. Together, we’ll focus on calming your nervous system so you can feel more grounded, steady, and hopeful again. If thoughts of pregnancy or motherhood bring fear, tension, or emotional shutdown, your response makes sense given your experiences. We work gently but directly to help your body feel safer and more regulated. When you are ready, I invite you to reach out and begin this work together. I provide telehealth throughout Virginia.
