Introduction

I work with high-achieving individuals and couples who are experiencing burnout, are contemplating divorce, or are in the midst of a personal or professional transition. What does therapy with me feel like? I start from a psychodynamic approach which means I look at your past and explore how your thoughts, behaviors, and experiences impacted you and what can be changed for a more fulfilling tomorrow. I do not believe we are blank slates to simply relive our childhoods, but I do think it is important to understand where we come from and the impact it has on us. You may cry in session. You will definitely laugh. You can swear. You can disagree with me. I will likely suggest readings and homework to help in our work. About me…. I attended Sarah Lawrence College and Loyola University Chicago. Prior to private practice, I worked at Jewish Child & Family Service, Thresholds, in the social justice world, and in fundraising for a breast cancer organization. When not working I am a puzzle nerd (word and jigsaw), a plant lover, and a very bad cook (but I keep trying!).
