Hello, and welcome. My name is Karina Balderrama, M.Ed., LPC, and I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care in a safe and supportive environment. My passion for counseling comes from a deep desire to help individuals, couples, and families heal from painful experiences, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and resilience when provided with the right support and therapeutic tools. I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My work integrates trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the Gottman Method for couples therapy. I also offer Christian faith-integrated counseling for clients who wish to incorporate their faith into the therapeutic process. Whether you are working through the effects of trauma, navigating relationship difficulties, processing grief, or simply seeking greater emotional well-being, my goal is to provide a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we will identify your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward the goals that matter most to you. It is a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they move toward healing, resilience, and a more fulfilling life. I look forward to supporting you on your journey.
