Hi, I’m Karly! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), and National Certified Counselor (NCC) practicing in Charlotte, North Carolina. I have worked with adolescents and adults in different levels of care including: partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings. I have additional experience with early recovery work in both substance use and eating disorders, anxiety, depression, identity development, college support, and safety concerns such as self-harm/suicidality. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, Client-led, and often a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques, Internal Family Systems (IFS), goal setting, and more than anything getting to know you better as your whole self so we can achieve the change and support you are hoping for. If you are struggling with emotional avoidance, negative self talk, or wanting to become a better version of yourself and feeling unsure of how to make that happen, I would love to provide a safe and supportive space where we can explore those things together and discover a new approach.
