I am a clinical social worker and founder of Among the Trees Counseling and Wellness. Prior to clinical social work, I worked in a variety of therapeutic roles with individuals at every life stage, from primary school students to hospice patients. I am passionate about my work, using a strengths-based approach to help people get curious about their lives, find meaning in their unique stories, and improve their relationships. I value authenticity and vulnerability and remain in awe at the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship. I have particular interest and training in disordered eating and eating disorders. I am a non-diet mental health clinician practicing from within the Health at Every Size paradigm. I have been a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor since 2018. Having recovered from an eating disorder myself, I believe full recovery is possible. I work with clients to establish trust in their bodies and discover a relationship with food that is joyful and free. I also bring a background in theology and spiritual support to my work. I am comfortable accompanying clients through questions of faith, deconstruction, and meaning-making, whatever tradition they come from (or none at all). This background informs the seriousness with which I approach a client's interior life, and my belief that the questions we carry about who we are and how we want to live are not separate from healing. They are often at the heart of it. Outside of the therapy space, you can find me on the sidelines of a youth sports event, walking in the woods, or hiding in a coffee shop with a maple latte and book.
