I work with adults who experience panic attacks and high anxiety. They are constantly anxious about feeling anxious and it’s completely shrunk their life. They’re cancelling plans, avoiding crowded places, and no breathing trick or grounding technique has worked. They can’t go another day with these feelings and sensations of anxiety. Their panic attacks have taken so much from them. I work with my clients to stop fighting so hard to get rid of their symptoms-this just makes them worse. Through CBT and ACT, we practice letting the anxiety in so it loses its power. After working with me, clients are able to go live their lives again as they please-not because the anxiety has vanished, but because they aren't afraid of it anymore. As a former panic attack sufferer myself, I know how scary it can be to face the anxiety head on, but this is how we recover.
