Introduction

If you’re feeling overwhelmed and striving for change, “Katie” Kressley offers a compassionate and practical approach to help you move forward. She works primarily with adults in both individual and group therapy, helping clients navigate challenges related to addiction, co-occurring disorders, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, career concerns, and life skills management. Since entering the clinical field in 2018, Katie has worked across multiple levels of care, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, inpatient, and institutional settings. Her overall approach to treatment balances a person-centered foundation with a more directive style when helpful, with the goal of helping clients build both stability and accountability. Katie believes counseling is a process of growth, insight, and change, where clients can develop tools, gain knowledge, and move forward into a new chapter with greater clarity and confidence. Katelyn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with minors in Sociology and Psychology in 2018, and later completed her Master’s in Counseling at Kutztown University in 2025. She is trained in CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), ICT, trauma-focused approaches, Seeking Safety, harm reduction, gambling/addiction treatment, Beyond Anger, and MEE Journaling, among other clinical approaches. Katie currently practices under the supervision of a licensed psychologist and licensed professional counselor as she works toward full LPC licensure. “Counseling is like a chapter in a book—fascinating, emotional, challenging, and rewarding. You build tools, gain knowledge, and finish one chapter, knowing a new one is ready to begin.”
