Katelyn Miranda (she/her) is a therapist-in-training, studying in Naropa University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, with a concentration in Somatic Counseling. Katelyn is dedicated to inviting people into a compassionate therapeutic space where they can feel seen, understood, and empowered to explore their inner and outer worlds, discovering new ways of being in the process. She is dedicated to meeting your unique needs within therapy, working collaboratively with you as the expert of your life. Her foundation is rooted in somatic psychotherapy, and honors the innate wisdom of the body as a guide to healing and self-discovery. Katelyn understands that the work we do together is like a pebble in the pond of our lives, rippling to impact our families, friends, communities, and world as a whole. Through a social justice, trauma-informed lens, Katelyn works within an attachment based, polyvagal, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and relational perspective, infusing her work with creativity, care, humor, and a little whimsy along the way. ​ Katelyn is welcoming to clients of all walks of life, experiences, and identities. She has a special interest in supporting highly sensitive people, teens and young adults, neurodiverse folks, caregivers, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and those experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and existential stress. Katelyn brings a rich professional background, including her experience as a residential mental health counselor for adults with severe mental illness, and extensive work with children and families. She is also trained in 200-hour yoga teaching and Capacitar Multicultural Wellness Techniques. Outside the therapy room, Katelyn enjoys nature walks, arts and crafts, dancing, singing in her car, cooking for her friends and family, being hooked on a good TV show, and petting any animals she can find. She is originally from California and now lives in Denver, CO with her husband and kitty, Pistachio.
