Funny, upbeat, and outgoing, Katie completed her degree of Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is also a certified Community Support Worker. She has a strong passion for trauma-informed care . She embodies a compassionate, creative, and grounded presence to her work with children, teens, young adults, and adults who are navigating trauma, substance use, neurodivergence, and emotional overwhelm. This being her second career after being a special education teacher for some time, Katie specializes in working with people of all ages and walks of life who have experienced trauma and/or substance abuse challenges. She also has experience and capabilities to work with autistic, ADHD, neurodivergent, neurodiverse individuals and with parents who need parenting support. Having completed specialized coursework in trauma-informed care, substance abuse counseling, sand tray therapy, and art therapy, she has also begun training in sex addiction treatment and betrayal trauma. Katie brings a creative and integrative approach to her work. She is committed to treating clients through a whole-person-centered lens, focusing on their emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. Katie believes in the transformative power of of witnessing, collaboration, and expressive exploration. She believes in energy cleansing and incorporates holistic techniques, to help clients achieve a fresh start.
