My approach to therapy is rooted in collaboration, compassion, and honoring each person’s unique story. I believe healing begins with feeling understood and safe enough to explore all aspects of your experience, including those that feel confusing, painful, or shameful. My goal is to create a nonjudgmental, affirming space where you can gain insight, reconnect with your values, and build a life that feels worth living. I primarily draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), integrating cognitive-behavioral, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches to support emotional regulation, relationships, and behavioral change. My experience in residential and PHP-level care and community mental health has shaped my respect for the complexity of each person’s journey and the courage it takes to begin therapy. I also have experience supporting children through play therapy and developmentally informed approaches. As a school-based counselor in the UK and in community settings, I used creative and relational techniques to help children navigate grief, anxiety, trauma, and social challenges. I collaborate with caregivers when appropriate to create a safe, engaging space for children to explore their emotions. Clients can expect me to be direct yet warm, focused yet flexible. Together, we’ll identify barriers to your goals, build practical skills for change, and foster self-compassion along the way.
