Introduction

I’m a Christian counselor with over 20 years of experience committed to helping women & men heal, overcome, & walk in the authority that Jesus gives us. My work focuses on getting to the roots of wounds, lies, vows and strongholds that are leading to pain, dysfunction, relational breakdown or unhelpful patterns that you experience. There are also seasons of life that are simply difficult, where we need support and compassion as we process and get through valleys. I believe God’s presence is life changing, so I value Holy Spirit's wisdom and revelation as we collaborate to meet your counseling goals. I’m passionate about helping clients learn to pay attention to what they see happening in the natural (with physical eyes) and in the spiritual (with spiritual eyes). Because problems in the natural have natural solutions, but spiritual problems ONLY have spiritual solutions. If you are open to it, we can explore deeper level areas such as generational curses, vows, strongholds, soul ties and any other legal rights or open doors the enemy may have to you and your family line to “steal, kill, and destroy” as Jesus tells us in the first half of John 10:10. I'm passionate about helping my clients "grow muscles" in their relationship with God, and in areas such as boundaries, communication, identity, sharing to be known and forgiveness. I also utilize a variety of frameworks I have seen benefit clients: Pia Mellody's work from The Meadows (she mentored me and is the author of “Facing Codependence” & “Facing Love Addiction”), Intimacy Therapy from the Center for Relational Care in Austin, the Enneagram to understand your strengths & weaknesses, and other frameworks that are beneficial on your journey. I had the joy of going to graduate school and earning an MA in Counseling from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas in 2006. I was also blessed to attend ministry school in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated in 2021. As a Texan, I’m grateful to be serving clients who reside on Texas soil! It would be an honor to work with you as you process what has been weighing on your heart! If you reside in Texas, you can do counseling from the comfort of your home. I utilize a virtual office that is secure, HIPPA compliant, and allows us to do web-based counseling sessions from your laptop, tablet, or cell phone. If you’re interested in working with me, you can request a free 15 min initial consultation through the Contact form or you can reach me at 512-587-2243 or katherineaguirrelpc@gmail.com. Office Hours: Monday-Thursday 9am-6pm *Please Note: I do not accept insurance.
