I find myself particularly passionate about working with those struggling with anxiety, the LGBTQIA+ community, including those discovering their sexuality later in life (late bloomers), survivors of domestic and sexual violence, those struggling with relationships/sex/sexuality, and those struggling with self image, shame, and self-esteem issues. I use a variety of approaches in my work based on the understanding that not everyone benefits from the same therapies. I frequently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Intersectional Feminist Therapy, mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. Another feature of my therapeutic process is using humor as a salve when discussing hard topics (when appropriate, obviously). My ultimate goal for my clients is to create an internal toolkit that they can use to address the mental health challenges that life throws their way when they are outside of my therapy office.
