Katherine specializes in supporting clients of all ages who are living with chronic illness, complex medical conditions, or adjusting to new diagnoses. She is passionate about helping individuals and families process the emotional impact of medical experiences while building coping strategies, strengthening identity, and finding hope throughout difficult transitions. She recognizes that healing often involves caregivers, family members, healthcare providers, and other supports. Katherine believes a diagnosis does not define a person, instead, it reveals strength, resilience, and perspectives that deserve recognition and support. Katherine also works with children and adolescents, helping clients navigate concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, emotional regulation, and unexpected life changes. She believes therapy should be a safe, supportive space where children feel understood, empowered, and free to express themselves in ways that feel natural to them. Katherine’s approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered, incorporating CBT, Motivational Interviewing, as well as play and art-based interventions to support growth, resilience, and coping skills. She is known for creating a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where clients and families feel supported, empowered, and comfortable showing up as their authentic selves.
