Anxiety, Phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in kids can show up in big ways and leave families spiraling. Being parents ourselves we get that we can’t always prevent our kids from struggling, but we can give them the skills to thrive in the face of life's challenges. With skill building through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), we help kids and parents develop a toolbox of evidenced based strategies to face their fears and courageously take back their lives from Anxiety and OCD. The therapy we provide focuses on equipping kids with the skills they need to manage life's challenges successfully. We teach children to be mindful of their emotions, to notice their thoughts, and use adaptive strategies to build tolerance of the uncomfortable and uncertain, helping them get back to focusing on the stuff they care about. *************** Current Offerings For Kids BRAVEHEART: An Empowering Workshop for Anxious Kids Join Us for our SUMMER BRAVEHEART Workshop Saturday, June 24th | 10 am to 12 pm | MARIN (Corte Madera) Are you ready to watch your child conquer their "what ifs" and anxieties? Join us for BRAVEHEART, our one day two-hour educational workshop, designed specifically for anxious kids between the ages of 6 and 10 years. We're dedicated to helping them break free from the worries that are holding them back, using fun and engaging activities to cultivate resilience and encourage bravery. Navigating childhood anxiety and OCD can be a challenging journey, but we're here to help your child take that first step towards embracing uncertainty and growing comfortable with discomfort. Engaging Activities & Practical Evidenced Based Strategies for Conquering Anxiety Our workshop features an array of experiential activities that not only make learning fun but also introduce kids and their families to a science based perspective on tackling worry and anxiety. Your child will develop strategies to manage their anxiety, learning to master their fears rather than being ruled by them. They'll leave BRAVEHEART with a clear, actionable plan that they, along with their parents, can confidently employ to navigate future moments of anxiety. Note: We respect the individual privacy of each child attending the BRAVEHEART workshop. **No child will be asked to share specific fears; our focus is on enhancing distress tolerance and resilience skills in a general context. We're currently enrolling, so don't miss this opportunity to equip your child with the tools they need to become the boss of their anxiety. Together, let's raise brave kids, one courageous step at a time. Workshops series function as a peer support group & psychoeducation resource. They are not considered group therapy. Although we encourage participants to protect the privacy of their peers, Workshops are not confidential spaces and, therefore, not a replacement for therapy. *************** Current Offerings For Parents Raising Brave: A New Approach to Parenting Anxious Kids Welcome, Parents! It is impossible to predict how many sessions one may need, as everyone’s needs are different. However, the treatment we provide is evidence-based, behavioral intervention. By this nature, the focus is on progress in treatment with weekly assignments. If you don’t see measurable gains in therapy, then this will be something we will address early in the treatment.
