Introduction

Hi, I’m Katherine. I provide telehealth therapy for teens, young adults, and adults throughout Maryland who are tired of feeling like they’re too much, not enough, too sensitive, too intense, too disorganized, or somehow doing life “wrong.” You may be autistic, have ADHD, or identify as neurodivergent. You might be dealing with executive-function struggles, anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, masking, relationship difficulties, school or work stress, or a major life transition. Maybe you know exactly what you’re supposed to do but still can’t make your brain start. Maybe you look successful on paper while privately working twice as hard just to hold everything together. You may have spent years being misunderstood, pushing through, or trying systems that were never designed for the way your brain works. Therapy with me is collaborative, direct, creative, and a little unconventional. We’ll look at what is making life harder, what matters to you, and what might actually help. That could include understanding patterns, challenging shame-based messages, recovering from burnout, communicating your needs, navigating relationships, building executive-function supports, or finding ways to make school, work, and everyday responsibilities more manageable. We might talk, draw, use metaphors, notice patterns, bring in games or fandoms, experiment with expressive arts, or create practical systems that work with your brain instead of against it. Creative activities are always optional, and you do not need to be “good at art” or know exactly what you want to talk about. You can ask questions, disagree, change direction, or tell me when something isn’t working. You don’t need to show up polished. Bring the sarcasm, the hyperfixations, the unfinished to-do list, and whatever version of you is actually there that day. My goal isn’t to make you more “normal.” It’s to help you understand yourself more fully, find approaches that genuinely fit, and build a life with more ease, connection, confidence, and joy.
