Do you want to feel better? Are you tired of trying to manage overwhelming emotions without relief? Therapy provides a safe, reflective environment to slow down and better understand yourself and the world around. I emphasize an eclectic approach that includes psychodynamic psychotherapy and mind/body awareness. I'll help you explore your feelings, sensations, and past experiences, to make sense of what we discover and create the changes necessary for a more meaningful and satisfying life. I have worked for over 12 years as a psychotherapist in a wide variety of professional settings - non-profits, community clinics, university counseling centers, & group private practice - in Chicago, Southern California, New York, and now Texas. I continue to engage in trainings and training groups that emphasize depth-oriented and somatic approaches to therapy. Prior to being a therapist, I worked in community organizing and public policy for almost a decade, and I'm also a certified yoga teacher and former ropes course instructor. I believe finding the right provider 'fit' is profoundly important on this journey, and I welcome conversation to answer any questions you might have about our work together.
