Hi, I'm Katie Pap, MSN, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Northbound Psychiatry. I grew up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and my long-term goal has always been to bring quality psychiatric care back to the communities that shaped me. My practice focuses primarily on psychiatric medication management, helping patients find safe, effective treatment options for conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and other mental health concerns. I believe medication decisions should be thoughtful, individualized, and based on the best available evidence rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. While medication management is my primary focus, I also believe that the best outcomes occur when there is a strong partnership between provider and patient. I take the time to understand each person's symptoms, treatment goals, medical history, and life circumstances so that we can make informed decisions together. Whether starting treatment for the first time, adjusting current medications, or seeking a second opinion, my goal is to provide clear guidance and collaborative care. As someone with roots in the Upper Peninsula, I understand the importance of accessible mental health services in rural communities. Through Northbound Psychiatry, I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to individuals and families throughout Michigan.
