I work with clients in New York and Ohio who often feel caught between caring for others and their career. Over time, these individuals often struggle to find time to care for themselves. They try to ignore the stress, tell themselves to power through, remind themselves how many people are counting on them, which leads them to feel exhausted. Without time to care for themselves, they cope by staying busy, reward themselves with a glass of wine, or scroll on their phone because they don't have the energy to do much else. Difficulties with worries, anger, sadness, sleep, and focus emerge. Sometimes old hurts that they thought were left behind resurface and they wonder how long it will be before they feel like themselves again. Although they are rarely by themselves, they often feel very alone. I help my clients address nagging thoughts that keep them up at night or distract them when they are just trying to relax. I work with them on the painful emotions that they try to keep at bay. I help clients find ways to cope with chaos and stress. With evidence-based care, I collaborate with my clients to help them change the pain, decrease suffering, and connect back to who and what is most important in their lives. It's often painful to know that the things that have brought you immense joy, can also be associated with so much stress, frustration, and lead you to feel so distant from the person you used to be. Call or email to schedule a free 15-minute consultation with me and let's talk about how we can work together to help you heal and reconnect.
